What Could Development Mean for Our Community?

One of the most common questions we hear about development projects is what it means for residents and the community. LEAP is currently working with two third-party organizations to bring an independent look at the economic impact of developing the Holt Economic Opportunity Park for Delhi Township residents, services and quality of life.

Overview of the Analysis

Two independent firms are studying the economic impact of the HEOP site. This study gives the community honest, fact-based answers about what different kinds of development could mean for the region.

These analyses will explore tax revenue and job opportunities of three different types of projects along with how each could support and affect overall quality of life in the community.

  • What's being studied: The economic impact of three possible types of development to Delhi Township and its residents.

  • Timeframe: The studies are expected to be published in September 2026 and will explore the total anticipated economic impact in 2030, 2035 and 2040, both as a snapshot and as a combined economic impact.

Who's doing the work: Two independent firms will provide their own analysis for a neutral view of the economic opportunity

Comparing Different Options

The studies will compare three types of development that the HEOP is well-suited for, including:

  • A logistics and distribution center

  • A battery manufacturing plant

  • A data center

Why This Matters

Bringing the right kind of project to the Holt Economic Opportunity Park will help pay for essential services in Delhi Township, such as schools, parks and public safety, without putting that cost burden on homeowners. LEAP is committed to supporting the Delhi Township Master Plan by finding a project that brings the greatest financial benefit to the community and provides a reliable source of funding for the Township’s way of life, with as little impact as possible.
